The 2019-2020 revision includes a number of changes, including the following:

  • In 2019, the Wisconsin Supreme Court decided a case regarding the constitutionality of the grandparental visitation statute
  • In 2020, the Wisconsin Supreme Court amended the so-called ghostwriting provision in the Wisconsin Statutes to remove the previous requirement that lawyers include their names and bar numbers when ghostwriting for otherwise self-represented people
  • In some circumstances, conclusive determinations of paternity can be made based on genetic test results and thereby affect such things as custody orders

This revision reflects legal developments occurring since the publication of the second supplement to the ninth edition in 2019 and includes updated forms, as necessary, and updated statutory and case law references. Contribution limits for retirement plans have been updated, and recently revised versions of marital agreements appear.
