The August 2020 supplement includes a number of changes such as:

  • A casenote for a recent Wisconsin Supreme Court opinion, arising out of a family law case, addressing an allegation of judicial bias
  • A new casenote for a published Wisconsin Court of Appeals decision, analyzing the application of a statute of repose to a motion for contempt stemming from an underlying divorce judgment entered more than 20 years earlier
  • Three casenotes for additional Wisconsin Court of Appeals opinions, discussing topics such as modification of child custody and placement; earning capacity considerations in setting child support and maintenance; and the enforceability of a marital property agreement
  • Four revised casenotes, updated to reflect subsequent history and to add newly available citation information

In addition, the index and tables have been updated to incorporate the new and revised casenotes.

The May 2020 supplement includes a number of changes such as:

  • A new Wisconsin Supreme Court opinion discussing constructive trusts
  • Three new Wisconsin Court of Appeals decisions addressing topics such as contempt, child support, and guardian ad litem fees
  • A new U.S. Supreme Court opinion in a case involving an international child custody dispute
  • The addition of the full text of two recent federal bankruptcy decisions of interest to family law attorneys

The supplement also includes revised opinions with updated notes explaining recent legislative amendments that concern the use of genetic testing in making paternity determinations.

Please note: No new casenotes were issued or revised since the July 2019 supplement,therefore, a third supplement was not issued in 2019.

The July 2019 supplement includes a number of changes such as:

  • A new casenote for a Wisconsin Supreme Court opinion, issued in 2019, interpreting the constitutionality of Wisconsin’s grandparent visitation statute, and two revised casenotes with updated Editors’ Notes reflecting the prior cases’ modification and clarification by the supreme court’s 2019 opinion
  • Five new casenotes for Wisconsin Court of Appeals decisions, addressing topics such as maintenance, property division, case-closure orders, constructive trusts, and judicial bias
  • A reprint of a corrective amendment to the child support guidelines, effective July 1, 2019

In addition, the index and tables have been updated to incorporate the new and revised casenotes.

The March 2019 supplement includes a number of changes such as:

  • Three new casenotes for Wisconsin Court of Appeals decisions, addressing topics such as modification of child support, competency of courts, and contempt
  • Revised casenotes containing updated case-reporter citations and providing information about recent changes to child support guidelines in shared-placement cases
  • A reprint of an amendment proposed by the Department of Children and Families to modify language in the child support guidelines rules changes that took effect in 2018

In addition, the index and tables have been updated to incorporate the new and revised casenotes.

The November 2018 supplement includes:

  • Four new casenotes for Wisconsin Court of Appeals decisions addressing topics such as contempt, appointment of a parent coordinator, and claim preclusion
  • A new casenote for a U.S. Supreme Court decision involving revocation of a life insurance beneficiary designation
  • The reprinted text of redlined rules changes affecting child support guidelines in shared-placement cases as of July 1, 2018

In addition, the index and tables have been updated to incorporate the new and revised casenotes.
