The 2018-2019 revision includes a number of changes such as:

  • New appellate decisions addressing matters relating to discovery, competency to proceed, plea withdrawal, double jeopardy, search and seizure, expert witnesses, sentencing, motions for a new trial, ineffective assistance of trial, and traffic law (OWI)
  • Revised discussions of electronic records and devices (in connection with warrants and subpoenas), the admissibility of expert testimony, and mistrials
  • Recent legislative developments affecting the issuance of a search warrant upon an affidavit and the supervised release of sexually violent persons
  • Updated poverty guidelines for use in indigency determinations

The revision also adds a new section on introducing recorded evidence in English or non-English languages.
