The 2026 Edition includes recent legislation that:

  • Amends, renumbers, and recodifies the state’s battery statutes
  • Creates a criminal penalty for threatening to cause bodily harm to certain individuals involved in the court system, involved in the probation system, working as a health care provider, or working as a member of certain state government agencies, and for family members of those individuals
  • Establishes a minimum sentence for human trafficking and child trafficking
