The 2022–23 supplement includes a number of changes, such as:

  • Amendments to statutory language throughout the book to reflect recent updates to Wis. Stat. ch. 703 made by 2021 Wis. Act 166 and 2021 Wis. Act 168
  • Discussion of additional requirements and considerations for disclosure materials to prospective condominium unit buyers, as well as revised sample language for a disclosures cover sheet
  • A 2021 Wisconsin Court of Appeals decision discussing whether an attempt to convert land into a site condominium composed of several single-family residences violated applicable restrictive covenants
  • Legislative updates that affect the ability to organize or reorganize condominium associations as for-profit corporations and modify the number of unit votes or consents required to amend an agreement in lieu of bylaws

 

The 2020-2021 supplement includes the following:

  • A discussion of an additional type of condominium
  • New suggestions regarding treatment of parking units
  • Newly created Wis. Stat. § 703.245, providing a process for resolving disputes between a unit owner and an association if a process is not otherwise provided in the declaration

All citations have been updated, and forms have been amended when necessary to add language about remote notarization.

The 2018-19 revision includes a number of changes, including the following:

  • New sections in chapter 4 discussing differences in the definition of “correction instrument” in Wis. Stat. chs. 703 and 706 and considering when it is appropriate to use a correction instrument as an alternative to amending the declaration or making an addendum to the condominium plat.
  • Dicussion of newly created provisions within Wis. Stat. § 106.50, addressing emotional support animals and service animals kept by individuals who have a disability and a disability-related need for such animals.
  • Additions to chapter 7 identifying expanded requirements for executive summaries accompanying presale disclosure materials under amended Wis. Stat. § 703.33.
