Hon. Pedro A. Colón joined the Wisconsin Court of Appeals District I in November 2023. Before that, he served on the Milwaukee County Circuit Court in Branch 18 since 2010. During his time on the bench, Judge Colón has presided over rotations with the children’s court, small claims court, the general felony division, and the civil division.
Prior to serving on the Milwaukee County Circuit Court, Judge Colón was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 1998, where he represented the 8th District until 2010. He was the first Latino elected to the state legislature and is the first Latino judge to serve on an appellate court in Wisconsin.
Hon. Sara J. Geenen was elected to the Wisconsin Court of Appeals District I in April 2023 and took office on August 1, 2023. Prior to taking the bench, she was an attorney and shareholder with The Previant Law Firm, S.C., where she specialized in labor and employment law, primarily representing workers and labor unions.
Christa D. Wittenberg is a shareholder at O’Neil Cannon Hollman DeJong & Laing in Milwaukee. She is a commercial litigator with a focus on business relationships that break down. She also serves on the firm’s Board of Directors.
