Steven E. Grieb is Senior Compliance Counsel at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. He earned his law degree from the University of Iowa with highest distinction. He has also earned his Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Steven is a member of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefits Specialists (ISCEBS). He also holds the fellowship distinction with the ISCEBS. He serves on the Corporate Board of the IFEBP and is a former president of the ISCEBS governing council. Steven won the 2014 First Chair Award for Top Corporate Counsel.  He was the lead author of the 401(k) Answer Book until 2020 and is a regular speaker on a number of retirement plan subjects.
