Professor Paul Anderson is the Director of the Sports Law Program and National Sports Law Institute at Marquette University Law School. In this role, Prof. Anderson founded the Institute's Sports Law Alumni Association and serves as a faculty advisor for the Marquette Sports Law Review, the Sports Law and Entertainment Law Societies, and several sports law moot court and competition teams. Prof. Anderson teaches courses in legal research and writing, youth, high school, college and recreational sports, and gender equity law and its application to sports. He also is a regular guest lecturer in courses on the representation of athletes and coaches, sports venues, and the economics of sport. He has lectured and written extensively on all areas of sports law, focusing most recently on Title IX and its application to sport, and concussion laws in sport.
Prof. Anderson manages the Sports Law Program’s Certificate and Internship program and hosts and develops all sports law programming at Marquette including the Speaker and Conversation Series, Career Panels, CLE programs, and the annual conference. A member of the Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Sigma Tau and Sigma Tau Delta Academic Honors Societies, Prof. Anderson is also a member of the Sports Lawyers Association, Sports & Recreation Law Association, and International Association of Sports Lawyers.
