Kathryn Pugh received her law degree in 2005 from Drake University Law School in Des Moines. She spent the first five years of her legal career as an assistant state’s attorney in Illinois. There she spent several years focused on protecting abused and neglected children by prosecuting juvenile abuse, neglect and dependency cases, and termination of parental rights proceedings. Kathryn moved to Madison and joined Schuster Family Law in 2011. She practices in all areas of family litigation. Her practice also includes guardianships, injunctions, and grandparent/third party visitation. A significant part of Kathryn’s practice is serving as a guardian ad litem, representing children’s best interests in custody and placement disputes.
