- This session will enable a discussion of the responsibilities and coordination of the role of a guardian ad litem with the rights of long-term care residents to self-determination and due process.
- Discuss scenarios related to laws, processes and rights when conflicts arise over health care and quality of life decisions. Also
- Review the advocacy services of the Board on Aging and Long Term Care’s Ombudsman Program when working pre-emptively to resolve conflicts for older adult residents of long-term care settings.
