Andrew L. Lee helps to lead Foley & Lardner’s NFT Task Force and its Sports & Entertainment Group. Formerly the General Counsel of the New York Jets and of the NY/NJ Super Bowl Super Bowl Host Committee, Andy brings more than 25 years of experience in the sports, technology, media, and entertainment industries.
Andy’s Web3 practice includes advising artists, musicians, and NFT platforms in connection with startups, partnerships, platform launches, NFT drops, commercial disputes, and securities law regulation. He has extensive experience both as a litigator and a transactional attorney, and he has handled complex cases and deals involving media rights, sponsorships, naming rights, intellectual property, music law, business formation, SEC and DOJ investigations, and more.
Andy’s clients include the New York Jets, Milwaukee Bucks, Utah Jazz, Gary Vaynerchuck and his Vee Friends, Vayner Sports, Vayner Fund and other companies in the Web3 space as well as the sports and entertainment industries. Andy’s clients commonly rely on him as outside general counsel to act as a member of senior management and advise on legal aspects of day-to-day operational needs. Andy has spoken regularly about NFT-related issues, in live webinars and in person, including in connection with NFT.BZL 2021 and NFT.NYC 2022.
