Dean R. Dietrich is a partner at Ruder Ware Law Firm, where he advises private and public sector employers on all facets of labor and employment law. He currently chairs the State Bar Committee on Professional Ethics and previously served on the committee appointed by the Wisconsin Supreme Court to review and suggest updates to Chapter 20, the Rules of Professional Conduct for Attorneys. He has represented attorneys before the Wisconsin Supreme Court Office of Lawyer Regulation and has advised numerous law firms and lawyers on compliance with the Rules of Professional Conduct.
Sarah E. Peterson joined the State Bar of Wisconsin as Ethics Counsel in 2024. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. Before joining the State Bar, Attorney Peterson worked for more than 20 years as an investigator and later as the lead investigator at the Office of Lawyer Regulation. She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin. She frequently speaks on professional ethics and acts as a liaison to the State Bar’s Committee on Professional Ethics.
