Chris Lang brings a background in journalism and video production to his role with the Wisconsin State Public Defender's training division, where he has worked for over a decade. In addition to providing forensic audiovisual support for attorneys, he creates biographical advocacy films for public defender clients. While such mitigation videos have traditionally been accessible to wealthier defendants, his goal is to democratize the process for anyone involved in criminal defense work. He also intends to expand his work beyond sentencing mitigation, drawing insights from both his clients and attorneys to improve the process.
