Sara J. Geenen is a shareholder at The Previant Law Firm where she represents individuals and labor unions, their members and retirees in labor, employment, and bankruptcy-related matters. Geenen graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2006, and today, she is a member of the Milwaukee Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Labor & Employment Law Section Board.
Elizabeth A. Groeschel is managing attorney of Legal Action of Wisconsin, Inc.’s Green Bay office. In addition to supporting the attorneys, paralegals, and legal secretary, in the (virtual) office, Liz represents clients in housing matters, like public and private evictions, and terminations or denials of subsidized or public housing. Her practice also includes public benefits matters, such as working with clients to resolve denials, terminations, or reductions of unemployment insurance or FoodShare benefits. Outside of Legal Action, Liz stays busy as a mom to toddler Dottie and as the Chair-elect of the State Bar’s Public Interest Law Section. She is a Marquette Law graduate.
Mary Spranger, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, earned both her B.A. and Master of Social Work degree at Tulane University. Mary is the Manager of the Wisconsin Lawyers Assistance Program (WisLAP) at the State Bar of Wisconsin, providing a wide range of supportive services that promote the well-being of lawyers, judges, law students, and their families. WisLAP offers crisis intervention services, education and outreach, information and referrals, and administers a monitoring program for legal professionals. Mary has spent twenty five years providing therapeutic services to persons with psychiatric and substance use disorders and is a mental health and recovery advocate. Mary also has expertise in medical social work, case management, and crisis intervention.
