Plenary Speakers: 
Dr. Sheila C. Furr is a licensed psychologist and board-certified clinical neuropsychologist. She’s been in clinical practice since 1978, working with children and families to conduct psychological, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological testing, and to provide counseling. Dr. Furr is also certified by the Supreme Court of Florida as a Family Mediator, is qualified as a Parenting Coordinator under statutory guidelines, and is trained as a neutral mental health professional/facilitator in collaborative law and as a Guardian ad Litem by the Florida Bar Family Law Section. She has been on the medical staff at Boca Raton Regional Hospital for 25+ years, here she has served as Chair of the Psychosocial Support Committee and as a member of the Women’s Center and Head Injury committees.

Attorney Robert C. Furr has more than 35 years of experience in bankruptcy law and is a founding partner of FurrCohen, P.A., a bankruptcy and family law firm based in Boca Raton, FL. His areas of practice include complex Chapter 7 and 11 reorganizations for corporations and individuals, state court civil litigation including receiverships, and complex commercial litigation. Atty Furr has testified before Congress twice on bankruptcy matters and the legislative process. He is an American College of Bankruptcy Fellow, a frequent lecturer, and a past president of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees.

Jeff Ditzenberger is a Wisconsin farmer, U.S. Navy veteran, mental health advocate, and founder of Talking, Understanding, Growing and Supporting (TUGS), a nonprofit support group for farmers struggling with suicide and mental health issues.

Attendees will engage in breakout and plenary sessions focusing on the most relevant issues facing bankruptcy, insolvency, and creditors’ rights practitioners.  Wisconsin bankruptcy judges will be in attendance to present the Wisconsin Judicial Update, and a majority of the active bankruptcy practitioners in the state will be in attendance as well as many of the panel Chapter 7 and standing Chapter 13 trustees, and our own Region 11 U.S. Trustee.  Nationally recognized speakers will also be in attendance to provide current and informative advice and information on the most pressing issues faced by bankruptcy practitioners.

In addition to the luncheon on Thursday, social events are scheduled for Thursday evening, February 27, 2019, including a cocktail party and dinner at the American Club for all participants and their guests. The award-winning staff of The American Club will create a fabulous culinary creation for our pleasure.

The retreat will again be held at The American Club, a national historic landmark and the Midwest’s only Triple AAA, Five Diamond resort hotel complete with a spa (open Friday, not Thursday) and outstanding meeting space and service.  Spouses and significant others are invited to attend.  Activities and amenities abound in the area.
