Product ID: CA3074W
Presented By: State Bar of Wisconsin PINNACLE

Streamlined process

New administrative paternity legislation effective August 1, 2020 gives parents the option to establish paternity using the conclusive results of a genetic test. 2019 Wisconsin Act 95 creates a procedure establishing parental rights, all without parties ever needing to step foot inside a courtroom.

Administrative Paternity in Wisconsin... It’s a Thing will walk you through the logistics of the process, when it can (and can’t) be used, and why this new pathway will likely benefit parents and children.

Another avenue for establishing paternity

Jill Mueller, from the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF), will help you understand how administrative paternity creates a monumental shift in Wisconsin family law.
