She received her undergraduate degree from Winona State University in political science, and her law degree from the University of Minnesota magna cum laude. After graduation, Cheri worked with the law firm of Hostak, Henzl & Bichler in Racine before joining Knight Barry Title in 2007. Cheri is a past president of the Wisconsin Land Title Association (WLTA), current Legislative Chair of the WLTA, and current member of the Town of Norway Planning Commission & Land Use Committee.  

Emily E. Thoms concentrates her practice in foreclosure, real estate and creditor's rights litigation, and she is the Supervising Attorney for the Wisconsin office of Codilis, Moody & Circelli, P.C. She is also the current Secretary of the Wisconsin Mortgage Bankers Association's Milwaukee Chapter.
