Rebeca M. Lopez is an attorney on Godfrey & Kahn, S.C.’s Labor & Employment Law Practice Group and is experienced in counseling and assisting business clients in navigating legal issues arising in the employment relationship. She conducts internal investigations into employee complaints and allegations, and assists clients in creating respectful workplaces through training, policies and day to day guidance. To best serve her clients, Rebeca is knowledgeable about employment laws and legislative proposals, including pending legislation relating to workplace discrimination. In addition, Rebeca regularly provides pro bono legal services, is an appointee of Governor Tony Evers’ judicial selection advisory committee, and supports local organizations, such as Centro Legal and the Latino Veterans Legacy of Valor Project, through board service.

Rebecca L. Salawdeh has practiced exclusively in the area of plaintiff’s employment litigation for the past twenty-four years. Since 2007, she has been a solo attorney with Salawdeh Law Office, LLC. Rebecca has been a member of the Wisconsin Employment Lawyers Association and the National Employment Lawyers Association since 1996. She served on NELA’s Executive Board for twelve years and is a past Executive Secretary. Rebecca was the Executive Secretary of the Employee Rights Advocacy Institute for Law and Policy from its inception in 2008 until 2018 and is now its President. Rebecca currently serves on NELA’s Judicial Nominations Committee, the Joint NELA Institute Fundraising Committee, and NELA’s Pro Bono Committee. In 2000, Rebecca, in conjunction with others, helped to form the Milwaukee Unemployment Compensation Appeals Clinic and continues to volunteer with Legal Action of Wisconsin’s Unemployment Compensation Appeals Clinic. Since 2015, Rebecca has volunteered as a mentor for high school students competing in the We The People state and national competitions. In 2020, Rebecca also joined the civic organization Tosa Together in an effort to create a more inclusive community in the city where she lives and works.
