Sarah A. Sargent is an attorney in the Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. Milwaukee office and a member of the Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice Group. Having obtained the CIPP/US and CIPP/E certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, Sarah’s knowledge allows her to counsel clients on cutting edge best practices for internal and external data privacy and security matters.

Her experience in deftly navigating regulations such as the European Union’s sweeping General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) grants her unique insight when advising clients on the most appropriate and effective choices when examining insurance policies and technology contracts. Beyond preventative efforts, Sarah’s focus also includes data breach remediation and litigation, working with opposing counsels, forensics experts and government regulators to resolve security incidents promptly and efficiently.

Justin P. Webb is co-chair of Godfrey & Kahn, S.C.’s Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice Group. His work includes advising clients on compliance with national and international privacy and data security laws, preventing and responding to data breaches, cybersecurity and privacy due diligence in M&A, and software and technology agreements. Justin holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional/US (“CIPP/US”) certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

Before his legal career, Justin was the Information Security Officer for a national university where he was responsible for all aspects of the university’s cybersecurity, including intrusion detection and prevention, incident response, forensics, and ethical hacking.
