Steven E. Grimm is a partner with Smith & Gesteland LLP, a Madison public accounting firm. He practices primarily in the areas of income taxation of pass-through entities and business succession planning.

He received his B.S. in accounting with highest honors from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse in 1990. He is a 1997 cum laude graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School. In addition, Mr. Grimm received an LL.M. in taxation with honors from the Northwestern University Law School in 2003.

Mr. Grimm is also a certified public accountant. He is the current chair of the board of directors of the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Taxation Section.

Kelly S. Kuglitsch brings a focus on compensation and benefits law to the Employment Law Group of O’Neil, Cannon, Hollman, DeJong & Laing in Milwaukee. As an ERISA attorney, she provides employers, plan administrators, benefit plan fiduciaries, and related service providers with expert analysis and strategies for dealing with the ever-changing and complex standards of ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, HIPAA, the Affordable Care Act, and related laws.

Her goal, whether with respect to tax-qualified retirement plans, executive compensation, or health and welfare plans, is to help employers meet their human resources, compensation, and benefits objectives. Ms. Kuglitsch’s focus is on minimizing exposure to penalties, excise taxes, and litigation.

She frequently represents benefit plan sponsors in connection with plan operation, qualification, and prohibited transaction issues, including representation before the IRS and U.S. Department of Labor in compliance audits and various plan correction issues.
