Dr. Bernadette Gillick, PhD, MSPT, PT, is a clinician of nearly 25 years. She has taught as a university instructor in neuroanatomy, anatomy and physiology, electrotherapeutics, research, and pediatric rehabilitation.

Dr. Gillick has developed continuing education courses in anatomy, kinesiology, and neuroanatomy which she has presented across the country. She speaks internationally on anatomy and neuroplasticity as well as about her research in non-invasive brain stimulation and rehabilitation in children and adults with stroke.

She received her BS in physical therapy from Marquette University in 1993, her advanced masters in neurologic PT from Chicago Medical School in 1998, and completed her PhD in rehabilitation science with a minor in neuroscience at the University of Minnesota in 2011.

Michael H. Gillick is a worker’s compensation litigator with Gillick, Wicht, Gillick & Graf in Milwaukee. He graduated with bachelor's and master's degrees from St. Louis University and earned his law degree from Marquette University in 1973. When not in the courtroom, Michael enjoys lecturing at advanced training and continuing legal education seminars.

  • The anatomy of the hip, knee, ankle, foot
  • Components of the joints most commonly involved in injury
  • Example Diagnoses/Injuries (e.g.- rotator cuff)

11:15 a.m. : Spine and Spinal Terminology

  • The anatomy of the spine
  • Example Diagnoses/Injuries (e.g.- spinal stenosis)

12:15 p.m. : Program Concludes

  • Learn the basic anatomy of joints, including the spine
  • Be able to identify the joint components most commonly involved in injuries
  • Develop an improved comfort level with anatomic terminology and locations
