The 2025 edition includes recent legislation that

  • Attempts to curb financial exploitation of older adults
  • Revises criminal procedure rules in cases in which older adults are victims or witnesses of crimes
  • Creates a certification requirement for crisis urgent care and observation facilities and crisis hostels

The codebook also now contains additional statutes that concern post-death matters, such as the anatomical gift law, cemeteries, cremation, and required reports of deaths.
