The 2022 edition includes recent legislation, which:

·       Created the concept of qualified residential treatment programs (QRTPs) in the Wisconsin Statutes, allowing children and juveniles to be placed in such programs in appropriate cases
(The codebook also reprints an emergency administrative rule concerning QRTP certification.)

·       Amended Family Code provisions relating to factors for determining legal custody and periods of physical placement and to the contents and timing of the submission of proposed parenting plans

 

·       Expanded the circumstances under which a court is prohibited from placing a child or juvenile in the home of a relative other than the parent or temporarily with a licensed person (e.g., when the person has been convicted of specified crimes against a child)
