The 2020 edition is current through the 2017–18 Wisconsin Statutes, as affected by Wisconsin Acts through 2019 Wis. Act 102. The administrative code provisions are current through Wisconsin Administrative Register, Feb. 2020, No. 770. The 2020 edition includes recent legislation, which:
• Created a new procedure to establish paternity based on genetic tests and established a new legal presumption of paternity (eff. Aug. 1, 2020)
• Amended, as part of a 2019 trailer bill, juvenile correctional facilities reform legislation passed in the previous year
• Created a new ground for CHIPS jurisdiction (when a parent resides in a qualifying residential family-based treatment facility (QRFTF))
In addition, the codebook reprints a redlined copy of 2019 Wis. Act 109, relating to guardianships of children. Act 109 was enacted after the cut-off for amendments incorporated in the statutes but is not scheduled to take effect until August 1, 2020.
