The 2024 edition is current through the 2021–22 Wisconsin Statutes, as affected by acts through 2023 Wis. Act 86 (including amendments by 2023 Wis. Act 73 with an effective date of May 1, 2024).  The administrative code provisions are current through the Wisconsin Administrative Register, Feb. 2024, No. 818.

The 2024 edition includes recent legislation that:

  • Created provisions concerning newborn infant safety devices (“baby boxes”) under the safe-haven law
  • Amended various dollar amounts in the Children’s Code and increased the hourly compensation rate for private bar attorneys assigned to cases after July 1, 2023, as part of the biennial budget act passed in 2023

A final administrative rule, creating requirements that took effect on June 1, 2023, for qualified residential treatment programs, has also been added.
