The 2024 edition is current through the 2021–22 Wisconsin Statutes, as affected by Wisconsin Acts through 2023 Wis. Act 272 and by Wisconsin Supreme Court orders through March 22, 2024.

The 2024 edition includes recent legislation that

  • Added a new subsection to the attorney-client privilege rule, clarifying the privilege when the client is a fiduciary
  • Created a new testimonial privilege for communications made by public safety professionals (e.g., police officers and fire fighters) as part of peer support services from a peer support team member or as part of critical incident stress management services
  • Amended certain definitions in the rule governing the health-care-provider-patient privilege as part of Wisconsin’s ratification of the Counseling Compact
