The 2023-2024 revision includes a number of changes such as:

  • In a 2021 unpublished opinion, the Wisconsin Court of Appeals discussed the incompetency standard used when imposing guardianships on adults
  • In a 2022 unpublished opinion, the Wisconsin Court of Appeals considered the burden of proof regarding the “least restrictive environment” factor for protective placements
  • Under a statutory change made in 2021, each proposed guardian must now submit a sworn and notarized statement that the proposed guardian has completed training requirements

In addition, the book’s title has been changed, and resources in appendix A have been updated.
