The 2023-2024 revision includes a number of changes, such as:

1. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit considering whether correctional officers’ conduct was so egregious and unreasonable that the plaintiff could overcome the officers’ qualified immunity defense

2. The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin analyzing a teacher’s conduct to determine whether it fell within the scope of his employment, making the school district liable for a judgment against him 

3. In 2024, the Wisconsin Court of Appeals considering whether the ministerial duty exception or known and compelling danger exception to immunity applied to create liability for a municipality when contractor spilled concrete on the sidewalk 

4. In 2023, the Wisconsin Court of Appeals determining whether the six-month statute of limitation for claims against a town under Wis. Stat. § 890.80 barred a plaintiff’s claim
