  • Updated discussions of the procedures for petitioning for an emergency guardianship of the person of a child, reflecting the new standard court form for that procedure
  • A new section describing the procedure and the corresponding standard court form for consolidating proceedings for a guardianship of a child’s person and a child’s estate
  • New sections about postdispositional matters, such as the procedures for registering one state’s guardianship order in another state and for filing a new guardianship petition when a prior order has lapsed
  • Expanded discussions of the distinctions between standby guardianships and successor guardianships
