The 2022–23 revision is a complete overhaul of the fourth edition and includes the following updates:
- The book’s five-step method for classifying property has been reexamined and the former flowchart system has been replaced by narrative explanations of the aspects of property classification and the five-step method
- The example classification scenarios that illustrate how to apply the five-step method have been reorganized and rewritten
- Six new example classification scenarios have been added
- The book’s first and second chapters, which discuss the fundamental principles of property classification, have been streamlined and supplemented
In addition, all case and statutory citations have been updated, new Practice Tips have been added, and more cross-references to additional resources on various topics related to marital property classification in Wisconsin have been included.
