The 2019-2020 supplement includes a number of changes such as:

  • Newly added sections on affirmative defenses and evictions and revised discussions about issues such as judicial disqualification
  • New references to recently decided appellate opinions on various topics, including arbitrability, pleading standards, claim preclusion, notice of injury and notice of claim in suits against governmental entities, jury instructions, costs, public records requests, zoning, procedures under the Wisconsin Consumer Act, and declaratory judgment
  • Wisconsin Supreme Court amendments, effective January 1, 2019, to the rules on default-judgment procedures
  • Updated poverty guidelines for use in garnishment proceedings and adjusted dollar amounts affecting certain claims and exemptions under the Bankruptcy Code

The 2018-2019 supplement includes a number of changes such as:

  • Recent legislative developments affecting discovery procedures, landlord-tenant law, foreclosure law, and certain statutes of limitation
  • New appellate decisions addressing matters such as attorney fees, insurance law, eminent domain, the Wisconsin Public Records Law, zoning, judicial substitution, and certiorari proceedings
  • Revised discussions of the standard of judicial review of administrative agencies’ conclusions of law
