The 2022-2023 revision includes a number of changes such as the following:
- Because of interim changes in Medicaid that were in effect during the COVID-19 pandemic, Medicaid benefits temporarily were not subject to termination for any reason except death or moving out of state (the suspension of the existing rules ended on March 31, 2023)
- Veterans need not make copayments for outpatient visits solely for education on the use of opioid antagonists to reverse effects of opioid overdoses or for emergent suicide care or for related medications
- Federal legislation enacted in 2021 and 2022 affected the tax credits that function as health-insurance-premium subsidies for many individuals
- Under a statutory change made in 2021, each proposed guardian must submit a sworn and notarized statement that the proposed guardian has completed training requirements
In addition, dollar amounts, such as those used to determine eligibility and participants’ copays for various programs, have been updated throughout the book.
