The 2021-2022 supplement includes a number of changes, such as the following:

·       The Wisconsin Supreme Court issued a decision concerning a punitive-damages award in a breach-of-contract and unjust-enrichment case

·       New rules govern the conditions of liability and benefits available for law enforcement officers and firefighters with posttraumatic stress disorder in some situations

·       Wisconsin’s federal district courts issued decisions in several tortious interference cases

·       The Wisconsin Court of Appeals determined whether a law firm was responsible for significant tax liabilities incurred by shareholders of a closely held corporation

All statutory, case-law, and regulatory citations in the book have been updated.

 

The 2019–20 revision includes a number of changes, such as the following:

  • In a 2019 opinion, the U.S. Supreme Court discussed exhaustion of remedies in Fifth Amendment Takings Clause claims
  • In an opinion issued in 2019 and ordered published in 2020, the Wisconsin Court of Appeals discussed whether estate and wrongful death beneficiaries might be entitled to prejudgment interest under Wis. Stat. § 628.46
  • The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, in a 2019 opinion, discussed whether malice is an element of a tortious interference cause of action
  • The Wisconsin Supreme Court, in a 2019 opinion, decided whether an attorney can be liable to a party named in a will if the attorney was negligent in drafting or supervising execution of the will

All statutory, regulatory, and case-law cites in the book have been updated, and several discussions have been tightened or reformatted for improved readability.
