A plan with benefits

Medicare and Social Security are two of the most popular government programs, providing financial protection to a large portion of the American population. Many people rely on Medicare to pay for healthcare expenses and use Social Security benefits as a key source of income in retirement. Unfortunately, these government programs can be extremely difficult to navigate.

That’s why Understanding Social Security and Medicare is here to provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to confidently address these complex programs on behalf of your clients (or yourself). Ruthann M. Driscoll will offer guidance on the substantive law basics of each program, as well as:

  • Eligibility requirements and enrollment procedures
  • The legal rights and responsibilities of beneficiaries
  • How benefits are calculated and taxed
