Become a mediation marvel

Mediation offers a less adversarial way to resolve conflict by facilitating communication, mutual understanding, and creative problem-solving between parties in dispute. But many attorneys in mediation don’t get all the value that mediators have to offer – value your client is paying for.

At 12 Ways to Make Your Mediator Work Harder for You, decorated mediator Lee Jay Berman will explain how to make the most of every mediation and maximize settlements for your clients. You’ll learn how to:

  • Interview prospective mediators about their style and experience
  • Choose the right mediator for particular clients and cases
  • Distill your case to brief the mediator effectively
  • Enlist your mediator as a strategic partner
  • Use your mediator as a sounding board for potential offers
  • Make the mediator show you their logic and reasoning
  • Get your mediator to work until the case is settled
