- The Wisconsin Supreme Court adopted mandatory e-filing procedures, effective July 1, 2023
- The Wisconsin Supreme Court considered Wis. Stat. § 779.05 and limiting lien waivers
- The Wisconsin Court of Appeals discussed participation by proposed wards in guardianship hearings
- The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin decided whether Chapter 13 debtors who extended their plan payment periods under now-expired temporary provisions of 11 U.S.C. § 1329(d)(2) could modify their plans while retaining the extended payment periods
- Recent unemployment insurance decisions, including cases involving pandemic unemployment assistance issues
- 2021 Wis. Act 258 significantly modified Wisconsin’s uniform partnership law and repealed and recreated the state’s limited partnership and limited liability company laws
- Amendments to Wis. Stat. § 967.08 allow certain court proceedings to be conducted by telephone or live audiovisual means and address access to such proceedings
- A new statute of limitation applies in actions against real estate appraisers to recover damages based on tort, contract, or another legal theory
