Peter Harbach
Peter Harbach is a partner at Hooper Law Office and the former president of the Wisconsin Council of Estate Planning Attorneys. Peter teaches nationally on elder law topics, including Medicaid’s expanded estate recovery laws and Veteran Pension benefit planning. He is a member of WealthCounsel, ElderCounsel, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), the Wisconsin Council of Estate Planning Attorneys, and the Elder Law Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin. Peter is also accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Peter received the St. Ignatius Academic Scholarship at Marquette University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in criminology and law studies. He then attended Marquette University Law School, focusing his studies on estate planning and family law.
Sarah Kons
Sarah Kons is a partner at Hooper Law Office, LLC. She grew up in the Fox Valley and returned after completing her education to build her practice and serve her community through education and comprehensive planning. Sarah focuses on estate planning, elder law, assisting families in planning for loved ones with disabilities, and business planning, including entity formation, exit strategies, and succession planning, with a special emphasis on the evolution of the family farm.
After attending the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh for her undergraduate degree, Sarah earned her Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School. She believes strongly in the benefits of education and teaches on both a local and national level. Sarah presents to a wide variety of audiences, including the general public, financial advisors, insurance agents, attorneys, and various other professionals. She has also written numerous articles and books on estate planning, elder law, special needs planning, and transitioning family-owned businesses.
Sarah is a member of the National Steering Committee on Special Needs through NAELA and a past president of the Wisconsin Council of Estate Planning Attorneys. She is also a member of WealthCounsel, ElderCounsel, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), Protected Tomorrows, WINAELA (Wisconsin Chapter), and the Elder Law Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin. Sarah is also accredited with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
