Nicholas L. Hahn
Nicholas L. Hahn is a member of Godfrey & Kahn, S.C.’s Litigation Practice Group and the Business Finance, Bankruptcy & Restructuring Practice Group in Godfrey’s Appleton office and a United States Navy Veteran. His practice focuses primarily on bankruptcy, insolvency, receiverships, and commercial litigation. He received his B.A. from Beloit College and his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin, magna cum laude, Order of the Coif. After law school, he clerked at the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of Hawaii, working for the Honorable Robert J. Faris and the Honorable Lloyd King.
Atty. Hahn serves on the board of the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Bankruptcy, Insolvency, and Creditors’ Rights Section and on the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Central States Advisory Board. He has represented debtors, creditors, and chapter 7 trustees. His professional memberships include the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Turnaround Management Association, the Hawaii State Bar Association, and the State Bar of Wisconsin. When he is not working, Atty. Hahn volunteers with his Rotary Club and Cub Scout Pack 3698 in Oshkosh. He also bow hunts, tinkers with electronics, and codes.
J. David Krekeler
J. David Krekeler of Krekeler Law, S.C. devotes his practice to solving financial problems for Wisconsin businesses and individuals. He is a past chair of both the Bankruptcy, Insolvency and Creditors’ Rights Section and the Solo & Small Firm Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin, as well as the Western District of Wisconsin Bankruptcy Bar. He was the 2021 recipient of the Solo & Small Firm Section’s John Lederer Distinguished Service Award.
Only six Wisconsin lawyers are certified as business bankruptcy specialists, and Atty. Krekeler has been one of them for years. He has been selected as a Super Lawyer every year for at least the last 17, as well as being included in the Best Lawyers of America. He recently published his first book, Bankruptcy Asked and Answered, available on Amazon. His second book, this one on law office management, should be out by this spring.
When not solving financial problems, you will find Atty. Krekeler on dinner dates with his wife and enjoying time with his children and grandchildren. Sunday night dinners are a ritual.
