The 2026-2027 supplement includes a number of changes such as:
- Updated discussion of minimum wage and overtime protections
- In 2026, the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development submitted to the Legislative Council Clearinghouse draft modifications to employment-of-minors regulations
- In August 2025, the U.S. Department of Labor reinstituted its “Payroll Audit Independent Determination” program to assist employers in resolving potential minimum wage and overtime violations under the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act
The 2025-2026 revision is current through the 2023–24 Wisconsin Statutes, as affected by acts through 2025 Wis. Act 5; Wisconsin Administrative Register, Feb. 2025, No. 830; United States Public Law No. 119-4 (Mar. 15, 2025); and 90 Federal Register 13407 (Mar. 24, 2025).
The revision includes updated discussions, descriptions, and dates, including information about earnings thresholds for the executive, administrative, and professional exemption from minimum wage and overtime protections under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
