Legal Counsel I – Wisconsin Towns Association
<strong>Position Summary:</strong> <br />This position serves as Legal Counsel I for the Wisconsin Towns Association (WTA). The WTA is a statewide, voluntary, non-profit, non-partisan association of 1,250 town and 25 village governments that provides education, legal information and grassroots legislative advocacy to empower and inspire our members to lead in their communities. Under the direction of the Executive Director, this position is responsible for collaborating with WTA team members to provide high impact education programs that increase the knowledge and understanding of town officers; address member questions on town related Wisconsin Statutes, Administrative Code, common law, and other policy; and, conduct legal and political analysis of legislative proposals. Depending upon personal professional objectives, skills, and needs, Legal Counsel I staff may engage in limited and possibly extensive lobbying. This position is located in Shawano.
